Family policies

Photos of your child

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

When to keep your child home

Please keep your child home with a fever, vomiting, diarrhea or a rash we don't recognize, and bring them back after a full day without symptoms. If your child falls ill here, Cirila calls you right away and keeps them close until you arrive.

Drop-off and pickup

Every child is handed over in person, at the door. We release a child only to the adults on your written list, and we ask for ID from anyone we don't know.

Late pickup

If you will be late, call or text Cirila as soon as you know. What happens when pickup runs past closing time is written in the enrollment forms, and she talks with you before anything else.

Meals, snacks and allergies

Cirila cooks lunch and two snacks in her own kitchen, and water is on the table all day. Tell us what your family eats and doesn't eat at the tour, and tell us about any allergy then too; once you enroll, we ask again in private.

What to wear and bring

In the hot months, send a hat, a water bottle and a full change of clothes, and put sunscreen on at home. Cirila applies sunscreen during the day only with your written okay. From fall to spring, a light jacket is enough for the early yard.

Closures for weather and holidays

We close on the holidays listed in the enrollment forms. In the hottest weeks the yard is for early morning only, and the rest of the day stays indoors. If Cirila is ill or has an appointment, she texts every family early that morning, and the home is closed for the day.

Leaving the program

We ask for two weeks' notice, in writing or by text, before your child leaves the program.
